Your mission

In the role of support assistant, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you will work towards making the day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

About Nytida Djurgårdsgatan

Nytida Djurgårdsgatan's service housing is aimed at adult women and men with mental disabilities. This may include phobias/depressions, learning difficulties, mental disabilities, psychosocial issues, schizophrenia, or anxiety disorders.

Nytida Djurgårdsgatan's service housing is located in a multi-family house in the pleasant district of Majorna in Gothenburg. The accommodation is spread over two floors, where the first floor is an LSS accommodation with 7 apartments and the second floor is a SoL accommodation with 8 apartments.

Djurgårdsgatan is located in the heart of Majorna, close to healthcare, shops, restaurants, and other community services. The nearest tram stop is Stigbergstorget, about a 5-minute walk from Djurgårdsgatan, where lines 3, 9, and 11 stop.

Your experience and knowledge

We assume that you who are applying to us: • have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people • are responsible and have personal maturity • enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues

You have at least a high school education in care and nursing or another equivalent education. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. You have good computer skills and experience in documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and the opportunity to grow.
